Vanessa Bryant Launched a “Mambacita” Clothing Line to Celebrate Gigi’s 15th Birthday

Vanessa Bryant is paying tribute to Gigi in an important way. On what would’ve been her daughter’s 15th birthday, Vanessa released a clothing line with Dannijo, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation. The tie-dye sweatshirts, sweatpants, and face masks feature a “No. 2” design, a nod to Gigi’s basketball jersey number.
“Today is my Baby’s Birthday,” Vanessa wrote on Instagram Saturday. “When I thought about how best to celebrate Gianna’s birthday with so many who loved her, I knew it had to be a combination of sharing her bright and fun personality with her sense of purpose and passion that would help make a difference in this world.”
Gigi died in a tragic helicopter crash in January 2020 along with her father, Kobe Bryant. Vanessa remembers Gigi’s kindness, energy, and leadership, as well as her “Mambacita swag.” But above all else, “what Gigi would love most about the Collection is that 100% of the proceeds will support the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, which is dedicated to creating positive impact for underserved athletes and young women in sports. Gigi was especially motivated to change the way everyone viewed women in sports, and it’s fitting that this capsule represents her value.”
Most of the line sold out shortly after launch, but you can still purchase a few items. Check them out below.
