  • Selena Gomez’s Day Trip Bikini Is Extra Special Once You Know the Story Behind It

Selena Gomez’s Day Trip Bikini Is Extra Special Once You Know the Story Behind It

Selena Gomez is staying serene in the sun while wearing a bikini designed by her best friend, Theresa Mingus. On Friday, Theresa shared a snap of Selena’s La Mariette swimwear on Instagram with a little background behind the meaningful two-piece in the caption.
“This print for me feels like a memory,” Mingus wrote. “I get that same wash of nostalgia every time I wear it, it reminds me of a day trip Selena and I took when I was considering rebranding my company- we drove down to Newport and spent all day on a boat, laughing and wandering in and out of some incredible vintage stores. One of those days that when you look back you want to relive it.”
We love fashion with a story! This bikini is extra sweet knowing there’s a story behind it. If you’re interested in twinning with Selena, check out her exact swimsuit below, or shop similar styles for yourself.

  • SZA’s Latest Video Looks Would Like to Let You Know Summer Isn’t Over Until She Says It Is

SZA’s Latest Video Looks Would Like to Let You Know Summer Isn’t Over Until She Says It Is

SZA is in a league of her own. The genre-defying artist with a unique singing style recently returned with her first single in three years, “Hit Different,” and a truly stunning self-directed music video filled with all sorts of shareable (even museum-worthy) shots. To no surprise, the outfits are on point.
The music video looks, styled by Dianne Garcia, are mostly monochromatic and appear to correspond to the colors of Earth’s elements. There are several fiery orange outfits, including a curve-hugging underwire bikini and various sporty separates worn in a dance number. SZA also wears an all-blue oversize outfit surrounded by cars in another eye-catching vignette, then a trendy tie-dye T-shirt with neutral joggers in shots filmed on bales of hay. The standout look, however, happens at the end, with SZA wearing a marbled bikini resembling wood and beaded braids.
What’s great about the styling is that, despite being for a music video, it still feels authentic and true to SZA’s personal style, which often vacillates between sexy, skin-baring numbers and lived-in, oversize silhouettes. Please do your eyes a favor and watch the “Hit Different” music video ahead, then take a closer at its many outfits.

  • Kendall Jenner’s Lake Vacation Looks So Peaceful, but Her Swimwear Is Playful as Ever

Kendall Jenner’s Lake Vacation Looks So Peaceful, but Her Swimwear Is Playful as Ever

Kendall Jenner is currently vacationing at a secluded lake, and while I’m of course envious of her gorgeous nature trip, I’m also very interested in the swimwear she brought with her. The model took to Instagram on Thursday to share snaps from her relaxing getaway, which includes shots of Kendall sporting both a fun floral bikini and a cherry-print suit, as well as the picturesque scenery.
Captioning the carousel “i 💛 lakes,” in the first photo, Kendall posed in a bright-yellow triangle top with colorful floral details and matching high-cut bottoms. Her adorable set is from Heavy Manners, and while stock is running low for her exact swimsuit, the brand also has many similar print bikinis in the same cut. She wore the same sunny two-piece while casually riding a jet ski in the lake.
In another snap, Kendall is seen lying on a deck by the glistening water, in a cherry-print swim set from HVN and a simple baseball cap. Luckily, the fruit bra bikini top and matching tie bottoms are still available on HVN in multiple sizes. Ahead, get a closer look at Kendall’s lake ‘grams and shop her exact swimwear.

  • This Swimsuit Collab Is Size-Inclusive, Sustainable & Under-$100

This Swimsuit Collab Is Size-Inclusive, Sustainable & Under-$100

On Thursday, Kitty and Vibe, the size-inclusive swimsuit brand, announced a six-piece collaborative collection with plus-size model and activist Clémentine Desseaux — just in time for the last long weekend of summer.

Cameron Armstrong founded Kitty and Vibe in 2018 with a mission to alleviate the stress of swimsuit shopping for women. “From the product fit to the try-on experience, from the exclusive campaigns to overpriced products, I often heard — and also felt myself — how swimsuit shopping was agonizing for women,” she says. “I set out to develop a brand that felt like a friend.” To do so, she came up with an entirely new process that determines your size according to hip and butt measurements. She also features women of all sizes in Kitty and Vibe imagery, ensuring that every woman sees herself when shopping for a swimsuit. Now, Armstrong is adding Desseaux who, in addition to being a model, is the founder and CEO of the All Womxn Project, a nonprofit that supports womxn nationwide.

“I first saw Clémentine in an Outdoor Voices campaign when I was beginning to develop Kitty and Vibe,” Armstrong says. “I was struck by her fierceness, yet approachability, and I dreamed of collaborating with her one day. The dream was to create our first ‘vibe’ that was based off of a real human, so the product truly did feel like a friend. Clém was the perfect fit.” About Kitty and Vibe, Desseaux says that she’s always loved the brand’s dedication to body diversity and representation, “as well as their Photoshop-free policy,” she tells me. “It fits everything that I am standing for, so it made sense to collaborate with them and include The All Womxn Project as well.”

The collection, which is titled The Clém Vibes, includes six bikini silhouettes, each of which was designed in collaboration with Desseaux. Inspired by the jungles of Brazil, where Desseaux vacationed last year, the collection is full of vibrant colors and patterns. “The dueling vibes [of the two colorways] are supposed to feel like your sun and moon signs,” Armstrong says. “Sun (Soleil) being your outer appearance and how you present yourself to the world. Moon (Lune) being your more emotional, personal side, and who you are with yourself.” Each colorway is available in three top options — a bandeau top, an underwire top, and a plunge top, which are all priced at $50 — and three bottom options — in cheeky, high-hip, and high-waisted styles, which are each $45.

The Clém Vibes collection also marks Kitty and Vibe’s first-ever collection made using recycled materials. “I’ve been working with our manufacturer for a few years to find recycled fibers that would match the comfortability of normal fabric in touch, feel, and elasticity,” Armstrong says. Her next goal for the brand is to reduce its single-use plastic in packaging and “make all elements of your Kitty orders recyclable by 2022.”

So, before we have to wave goodbye to yet another swimsuit season, take advantage of the last long weekend of summer by shopping the just-launched Clém Vibes collection today.

  • Selena Gomez Celebrated the Launch of Rare Beauty in the Most Down-to-Earth Outfit

Selena Gomez Celebrated the Launch of Rare Beauty in the Most Down-to-Earth Outfit

As if we needed another reason to love Selena Gomez, she gives us one with her more low-key outfit to celebrate the launch of her new beauty line, Rare Beauty. The Rare singer held onto her dog while being surrounded by pink balloons and wearing the most chill at-home outfit to celebrate the big news. She captioned the adorable photo, “SO EXCITED though I wish we could celebrate in person. Thank you to my amazing team at @rarebeauty and our community! This is just the beginning!!!”
Rather than going all out in a slinky dress or a cute coordinated set, Selena kept it real for the exciting day. She wore a black, long-sleeved crop top with side slits. She finished her outfit with a pair of light-pink sweat shorts that looked almost too comfy to pass up. (It’s good to know we’re not the only ones living in sweat shorts while sheltering in place.) Keep reading to get a closer look at her outfit, then shop similar versions of her cozy, pink sweat shorts if you’re in the market for a pair. We’ve included a roundup of affordable styles for you ahead.

Vanessa Hudgens Has Spent the Full Summer in Bikinis You Can Still Shop

Vanessa Hudgens has been hanging out poolside all summer long, showing off a lineup of sexy bikinis and TikTok dances to boot. But Vanessa’s no stranger to keeping a variety of versatile suits on hand – we’re used to shopping her ever-changing collection year after year. In the past few months, however, Vanessa’s worn some celebrity cult-favorite labels like Frankies Bikinis and Sommer Swim, and she took some time for a getaway on the beach in Turks & Caicos, where she completed her look with body chains, anklets, fringed caftans, and wide-brim visors – you know, all the proper swimwear accoutrements.
While it’s easy enough to scroll through her Instagram feed and admire her bohemian fashion sense from afar, we went the extra mile and shopped out some of her exact designs that are still available, and even on sale. If you’re in the mood to stock up on some last-minute maillots before the season’s end, we don’t blame you for being inspired by Vanessa’s bikinigrams. Plus, everything you’ll find ahead comes at a very friendly price point. Just know that we’re right there with you, credit card in hand, shopping like summer’s never really over. We have a feeling Vanessa’s on the same page.
