In a collaboration we never saw coming, Levi’s and Lego (yes, you read that right) have teamed up to create a nostalgic collection full of “wearable art.” The new limited-edition line features Levi’s signature staples – like trucker jackets and straight jeans – but takes them to the next level with a playful twist: customizable Legos! The popular denim brand’s classics are adorned with flexible baseplates that you can actually snap Lego tiles onto to pull together your own unique piece – or you can let the cool designs speak for themselves.
In addition to the denim, the upcoming Lego x Levi’s collection also includes hoodies, bags, hats, and even a cargo vest, all featuring fun Lego-inspired details like colorful buttons and a bright-red Lego patch swapped in instead of Levi’s traditional leather version. “This is such a fun collaboration celebrating self-expression, creativity and nostalgia,” Karyn Hillman, chief product officer for Levi Strauss & Co., said in a press release. “With the customizable baseplates, Levi’s is now literally a new blank canvas for Lego play.”
The line will be available starting Oct. 1 on Levi’s website and in select Levi’s stores, and every customizable purchase comes with a bag of 110 Lego Dots, which will allow you to accessorize your pieces and bring out your inner child.
